As Gibraltar was classified ‘strategic’, the women and children were eventually evacuated to the United Kingdom where
he spent his formative years.

and children, with syllogistic reasoning were settled by the British Government in the centre of London.

In 1944 with the advent of the VI’s and V2’, and the men in Gibraltar creating a rumpus, the women and children were
sent to Northern Ireland, and in 1945 they were repatriated from there back to Gibraltar.

Once back in Gibraltar the Christian Brothers taught him until he left school, when he immediately joined the UOL and has been studying ever since.
His first efforts at employment was with Barclays Bank, in those day D.C.& O, for the princely sum of £9 per month.
He was headhunted by the Civil Service and offered a fabulously increased remuneration, which he could not turn down, of £14 per month.
You must agree a staggering success story at such a tender age.
However from the Government Treasury he graduated to the day to day running of the Radio Station in Gibraltar, then a Government Department.
With the introduction of Television in Gibraltar, and the formation of the Gibraltar Broadcasting Corporation he became the General Manager of both services.
In this capacity General Franco, at the heights of the troubles with Spain banned him from entering Spain, as the General felt that everything that emanated from the stations was the authors responsibility.
Whilst running these services he was the correspondent of the BBC and Visnews.
Fourteen years later in 1972 he left Gibraltar and went to work for Col. David Sterling running his television division. Col. Sterling was the founder of the SAS.
He later branched out with his own family concern in the same field of business.
The Author is married to Jan and has two sons.
He now resides in the Isle of Man.
